A voice for the working class
Things in Missouri are rough right now. Rising cost of living and attacks on our rights all while many of our legislators ignore the voters' voice. We need working-class representation in District 13. More robust labor protections, access to healthcare, and well-funded education. We need representation that will respect the will of the people. We need representation that knows the struggle.
Hi! I'm Jacoby. I live out in Rushville. I'm a cook, I make plush toys, and I'm running for District 13. I've lived in the area my whole life. While researching upcoming ballot measures, I saw a Republican candidate running unopposed and decided that maybe he needed a challenge. I like to think our area is worth putting a little effort in. Court us a little!I'm nothing special. I'm an average person working to make ends meet. Unfortunately for the opposition, I was also raised to not let problems go by unaddressed.
When the legislature overturned the voter-approved Paid Sick Leave measure, I saw hard-working people get kicked in the dirt. While they are fighting to re-ban abortion (also approved by voters) with Amendment 3, and silence us even further with Amendment 4, I'm watching prices rise and rise, public schools get defunded in favor of private education, and our private matters be intruded on by the state. I think we might need a representative that actually represents. Someone from a small town that knows the struggles of a small town.I hope we get the chance to meet, get to know each other, to talk about the issues that effect us and our communities. I hope that you can trust me to be your voice in Jefferson City. Let's work together to make our state a little better.
